Agility: A Necessary Aspect for Businesses in Today's Digital Era

Organizational agility is one of the most critical aspects for enabling better performance as a business on the whole. The growth of the technological world is accelerating at a high velocity. Being agile enables enterprises to adopt new technologies faster. An agile leader will guide the companies according to the transformation of environments without any problem. The vision and value of the company must be unique and unaltered. The leaders must articulate the vision and values of the company in order to make the people understand clearly and make the vision of the company to be their goal. The values of the company must guide the employees' creative thinking, problem-solving abilities, and innovation.

There exists a correlation between agile transformation and employee engagement.  Agile transformation can influence and improve employee engagement. Agile transformation also improves the lives of the employees when the employees understand the vision of the company and work deservedly. The vision of the company must also coincide with the customer needs.

As the customers turn to agile methods, the employees in the companies are asked to build resilient solutions to identify their at-risk populations and the factors that threaten their workforce’s adaptive capacity. Agile leaders will be able to diagnose the tools which are adaptive to their workforce even if there is a massive transformation in the workflow which will reduce the stress level of the employees. Also, the companies must have the ability to explore and expand in order to achieve their full potential. Every decision made during the transition of the organization’s offering based on customer needs and the trends must also align with the unifying vision of the company. The agile methodology enables more flexibility in that changes can more easily be made even after a change is being implemented in that software.

Agility can have a significant impact but only if done properly and with the right reasons. Agile software development teams must continually decide between different new features and optimize existing software to avoid technical debt.
