Natural Language Processing: Lending a Helping Hand in Mobile App

NLP may be a useful technology when it comes to observing spam messages. It is a technology that reads and hears messages.

FREMONT, CA: In the present day, most things revolve around text and speech data. It could be a news feed, social networking messages, a free text format on web pages, and emails. To infer meaning from these results, several programs have come up with additional language features. These systems are centered on Natural Language Processing (NLP), a mixture of computational linguistics and AI. NLP is a technology that helps make the mobile app smarter by automatically evaluating the meaning of the content and taking the necessary action on behalf of mobile users. Below is how NLP facilitating mobile applications.

1. Adopting NLP to Power an Information Engine

Researchers believe that Google will soon adapt NLP-based technology to mobile devices to deliver better results. In addition to this, virtual assistants are currently best placed to provide a basic answer to a simple question. In some time, an in-depth explanation of the complicated questions of the user will begin. NLP has tremendous potential when it comes to creating and extracting information from stores. For example, an information engine uses websites, videos, ebooks, data stores, and television footage with up-to-the-mill-second accuracy. This type of invention can transform the way people absorb and use information.

2. Use of NLP for Battling Spams

People face a problem with many spam messages coming every day in their inbox. NLP may be a useful technology when it comes to observing spam messages. It is a technology that reads and hears messages. This NLP technology capability can read content from blog comments, email messages, personal messages on social media platforms, and more. The content is then compared to the known spam messages used to identify the spam. This use of natural language processing is growing in mobile apps with potential spam issues.

3. NLP for Mobile Applications in the Medical Field

NLP is widely used in the medical sector, particularly when it comes to applications for wearable health equipment. NLP also supports applications that allow one to use verbal feedback instead of typing. Below are implementations for NLP in the healthcare industry:

Verbal Updates and Input: Doctors and nurses can use NLP technologies to automatically fill out a patient history questionnaire using only an interface when talking to patients. Similarly, a physician will orally state the results when performing a surgical operation. This form of the smartphone app can also give health alerts to the patients' families.

Note-Taking: NLP technology can allow patients to take notes extracted directly from the doctor's voice. This software type will provide a helpful record of names of medications, dose detail, and other tips for patients.
