The advancement in the field of technology has made life easier and comfortable. Smart devices has become the center of all these changes by giving users the ability to control any device connected to a mobile application through the Internet. With the number of people leveraging Internet of Things (IoT) on the rise, has made it quintessential for the development of IoT solutions. Besides, there are challenges involved in overcoming the pain points that come with connected devices. Given below are a few pointers that detail the challenges that come with IoT and how this technology will play out in the future.

The challenges that come with the adoption of IoT are:

1. For instance, mobile healthcare applications store a lot of personal data such as the user’s height, weight, blood pressure, and so on. If the application’s servers are compromised, it can leave the user vulnerable since the attacker would have a lot of details regarding the user. This can also lead to a loss of privacy. Therefore, the user’s details should be stored on a highly-secure network server.

2. With a large team of developers and other parties working together to come up with IoT applications, there usually exists a confusion regarding which feature would generate revenue. Therefore, proper rules and contracts need to be laid place to ensure that each person’s role is clearly defined.

Despite these challenges, the future holds a lot of potential for IoT adoption due to its immense capabilities. IoT can shape the future in the following ways.

1. By integrating Artificial Intelligence with IoT, prediction and anticipation of natural disasters such as earthquakes can be made possible. It is done by leveraging the data that is exchanged between the IoT devices used.

2. IoT can be used to analyze soil measurement and water availability and integrating this data with farming equipment can help farmers attain better harvests.

3. Architects can leverage IoT to analyze different materials to make efficient purchases while eliminating unnecessary resources.

4. By giving users the details of how each device is used at home, IoT can help people to effectively use their resources at homes such as water and electricity usage and thereby optimize consumption.

5. Camera devices and security systems can be integrated by law enforcement agencies to reduce the rate of crime.

6. IoT can make homes smarter by adjusting the room to suit the preferences of the owners according to different factors such as climate, time of the day, and so on.

Technology is playing a crucial part in reinventing business experience and IoT shares a great part in that.
