Top 4 Ways Robotics Helps in Disinfection and Sanitization

Autonomous robots aided by sensors aid the public safety authorities, health authorities, and businesses in the COIVD-19 hit regions.

FREMONT, CA: To prevent the spread of the pandemic inside the healthcare institution and other public place robots are used to keep the surfaces disinfected. The manual cleaning process is hazardous, looking at the possibility of getting infected, which is why it is a perfect task for autonomous disinfection robots. Below given are some of the robotics disinfectant solutions.

Xenex Disinfection Services

Most UV light disinfection tools are used in the mercury gas bulbs as a light source with an effective wavelength. The UV radiation emitted by low-pressure mercury bulbs is produced in a continuous stream that eventually accumulates to microorganisms lethal doses. Pulsed xenon ultraviolet (PX-UV) is a substitute to traditional UV ways offering a high-intensity pulse germicidal UV. It is emitted in high-intensity pulses, short,  and require a shorter duration of exposure to achieve lethal doses. PX-UV light potentially has higher efficiency than other forms of UV, like the mercury UV, because of its broad-spectrum and higher intensity. Besides the non-chemical disinfection methods like UV light, there are other ways to kill bacteria. The disinfectants kill bacteria by destroying their proteins or by interfering with the metabolism. The choice and intensity of the disinfectant depend on its needs. Some have a wide-spectrum: they can kill as many different microorganisms as they can while others die a narrower range of disease-causing organisms.

Autonomous vehicles have proven themselves very useful during the pandemic time aside from their primary offerings and applications. The vehicles are capable of delivering medical supplies and food to apartments, meals for overworked health workers on the front lines, and distributes of disinfectant in the city streets.

Here, the robot is implemented with a new space dry mist sterilization system with a strong sterilization ability with extremely low corrosion. The system utilizes a special disinfectant preparation to sterilize in the form of a dry mist. The dry mist is diffused through stable air supply and evaporated in the space, ultimately killing and viruses in the air.
