Companies are using digital marketing as it becomes easier to reach customers and retain them. 

FREMONT, CA: Internet usage by adults has increased by at least 5 percent in the last three years. Now, more than ever, companies are trying to tap into the opportunities offered by the digital world. In other words, online marketing plays a massive role in people's shopping decisions.

The overall goal of marketing is to interact with the target audience at a proper place and time, irrespective of the nature of digital marketing a company uses. What better place to target the right audience than the internet.

What is Digital Marketing?

Digital marketing relates to marketing through an electronic device or the internet. It is another term for internet marketing. Today, numerous companies have started engaging in digital marketing, as they find it easier and cot-efficient to approach many customers in this way.

Advantages of digital marketing:

Increase Customer Loyalty with Frequent Communications

The companies know, attracting and transforming new customers costs more than retaining existing customers. Customer loyalty can be hard to establish, but the efforts are worth it. It can be useful to confirm a sale with the customers but retaining those customers after the sale is even better.

A retained customer can make a further purchase or suggest the brand to others, which facilitates increasing sales. Forty percent of online shopping revenue in the U.S. comes from repeat clients, who make up 8 percent of visitors to the site. Companies must stay in contact with them to retain customers, and digital marketing makes it easier than ever.

Engage the Customer at Every Buying Stage

It is usual for a customer to see an online ad these days, check, compare prices on various websites, and then visit a store to try the product or purchase from an online store. Mobile apps include exclusive deals and discounts for customers, customer service, and comparison tools that strengthen the shopping process's understanding. A marketer may observe the customer's whole purchasing journey with digital marketing.

Accurately Measure All Results

With the help of digital marketing, companies can evaluate anything worth measuring. Starting from when the ad is clicked until when the visitor abandons the page. The companies can calculate how many people saw the ad, how many sales resulted from the ad, and the return on investment (ROI). The tracking or analysis is made possible by data analytics software (like Google Analytics) and social networks or advertising channels (like Facebook Ads and Google Ads).
