What Is The Role of Intelligent Parking In Improving Customer Experience?

Because of the scalable, flexible, and easy-to-install nature, smart parking has become one of the most popular smart city initiatives at this moment.

FREMONT, CA: While going out for shopping or other purposes, people might have experienced difficulty in finding a spot to park their vehicles in crowded places. Nowadays, all the urban centers focus on eliminating the frustration that accompanies the search for a parking space.

How Essential is Parking Space in Enhancing Customer Experience?

Traffic blocks have become one of the major problems in many cities across the world. So, hours are lost in search of a parking space. According to reports, a commuter in Sydney spends around 156 hours annually trying to find a parking space. Almost 75 percent of customers will walk away from their favorite brand after just one bad experience. Hence, it’s essential to ensure that the customers have convenient parking spaces while they visit the store. The role of parking facilities in a customer’s decision to visit the store is emphasized in the Google Reviews feature as well. Therefore, parking is an essential aspect of the customer experience.

What is an Intelligent Parking System?

Modern technologies are used to make an intelligent parking system, and these technologies help drivers find and navigate their way to a parking space easily. This way, smart parking systems offer the customers greater convenience. By using automated parking systems, an intelligent parking system draws customers to the business. The arrival of smart technology has given birth to complex systems that can integrate with other connected systems.

How Does the Parking Management System Work?

Vehicle movement detection or vehicle video tracking are two components of the parking management system. Usually, these technologies are based on cameras and sensors. At the access and endpoints of each parking area, these cameras and sensors are installed. For single-level, multi-level, and even on-street parking spaces, these sensors are being successfully used. These sensors at each parking spot provide and accurate data about specific vacant parking spots.
